​The challenge today with conventional scaffold boards made of laminated and solid wood is that they are relatively heavy, can absorb moisture and swell, age and rot in the course of time. In grueling everyday site conditions, they are severely stressed by repeated scaffold erection and dismantling and outdoor use in all weather. Use and environmental conditions affect their mechanical properties such as load-bearing capacity and impact resistance as well as diminish the life span – particularly when they absorb moisture. At the same time, scaffold planks have to create a completely safe and non-slip deck for scaffold users during their work.

NexGenPlank brings a new standard in scaffold board material that requires minimal maintenance and doesn't crack, split, or warp like wood products. The exceptionally durable exterior plank material is made from fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) that is both attractive and provides a much longer shelf life over wood scaffold plank. NexGenPlank is a lighter and more durable alternative, constructed with electrically non-conductive components that increase safety around electrical systems. The composite materials are non-oxidizing.
